(This is Part VIII of an extended series on being\u00a0part of the change<\/em>, rather than simply\u00a0observing the change<\/em>, that is occurring on our planet right now.)<\/strong><\/p>\n

In our last entry here we said that “the New Spirituality” that is talked about in the CwG books is based upon the following\u00a0assumption:\u00a0There is something we do not now fully understand about God and about Life, the understanding of which\u00a0can change everything.<\/p>\n

The process of seeking, obtaining, and sharing wisdom is what will bring us closer to that understanding.\u00a0This should be a lifelong process that is never ending. That is why I speak of being \u201cin-the-moment clear\u201d about\u00a0who we are and what we are doing here.<\/p>\n

All true clarity is in-the-moment clarity. That is because there is nothing else but<\/em>\u00a0 the moment. \u201cNow\u201d is all\u00a0there is, and everything else is an illusion. Yet even if we accept the terms of the Illusion, tomorrow, for all we know,\u00a0a flying saucer could land here and change everything we ever thought we understood about life.<\/p>\n

You think I\u2019m kidding? I\u2019m not.<\/p>\n

So if you really want to be Part of the Change\u00a0<\/em>on our planet,\u00a0use whatever tools are available to you to get clear on what is true for you. Another one of those very\u00a0practical tools is meditation\u2014and we will talk more about that when we discuss Step Four of the Ten Steps to\u00a0Becoming a Spiritual Helper.<\/p>\n

More practical suggestions
\n<\/strong>After getting clear on who you are and what you choose, there is another very practical thing that you can\u00a0do to implement fully Step One, which, you will remember, is to ANNOUNCE OURSELVES TO EACH OTHER. \u00a0(We explored this step in our last entry here). This other practical thing you can do? \u00a0Find out what is already being done, and by whom.<\/em><\/p>\n

Make it your business to learn more about the world in which you live. Watch the news. Read the paper.\u00a0Follow the Internet. Keep up with what\u2019s happening.<\/p>\n

A lot of people in the new age community seem to feel it\u2019s a good idea to avoid the news, to remove\u00a0yourself from this \u201cnegative energy.\u201d I disagree. I follow the news closely every day. Energy is what you call it. Or,\u00a0as William Shakespeare famously noted,\u00a0\u201cThere is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so.\u201d<\/p>\n

I want to know what\u2019s going on in my world. I want to understand the issues of the day, the matters of\u00a0concern, the daily developments on our globe that co-create our collective experience.<\/p>\n

Perhaps more important, I want to discover who, if anyone, is gathering energy and doing something\u00a0about the challenges we are facing, who is putting together a plan or a program, who is launching what effort to\u00a0accomplish which goal.<\/p>\n

I want to know this because I want to connect\u00a0 with these people. I want to use these resources.\u00a0 I want to\u00a0increase my effectiveness\u00a0 as a spiritual helper by joining with others who are holding the same ideas I am nursing,\u00a0and who are moving in the same direction I am going.<\/p>\n

Now in the case of readers of CwG there already is a \u201cgame plan\u201d for those who have taken the\u00a0messages of these books to heart. The game plan is to create the space of possibility for a New\u00a0Spirituality to emerge upon the earth.<\/p>\n

This does not mean to proselytize or to start trying to \u201cconvert\u201d everyone, and it certainly does not mean\u00a0the creation of a new religion. The message of CwG is clear on this point. What the world needs now is not\u00a0another religion, but an expansion, an extension, a rejuvenation and a refreshing of the thoughts and beliefs of our\u00a0present religions.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
