Alzheimer&#8217;s requires a cancer-size response.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><a href=\"http:\/\/org.salsalabs.com\/dia\/track.jsp?v=2&amp;c=GYPyJKAftpF6ry%2Bol6IA45Zmhrph1GrL\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #4f81bd; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: small;\">Urge your members of Congress to double research funding for Alzheimer&#8217;s at the NIH in the FY15 budget.<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: small;\">Researchers from the Rush Alzheimer&#8217;s Disease Center in Chicago found that Alzheimer&#8217;s was responsible for more than 500,000 deaths in 2010 \u2013\u00a0<strong>six times more deaths than previously reported by the CDC<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: small;\">This news comes just weeks after the Director of the National Institute on Aging reported the United States would not be able to fulfill its commitment to prevent and treat Alzheimer&#8217;s by 2025 at its current level of funding.<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: small;\"><strong>If Congress does not\u00a0<em>dramatically increase<\/em>\u00a0funding for Alzheimer&#8217;s research, we will soon see Alzheimer&#8217;s deaths rise to one million a year.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: small;\">The President&#8217;s recently released budget request for FY15 flat-lines funding for Alzheimer&#8217;s.
